Really enjoyed this restaurant. My new favorite in Rock Springs. Service and food were terrific. I will be back next time I am here on business. The Plum Saketini was the best I have ever had. Dangerously delicious! Loved the unusual glass it was served in. All food was fresh and well prepared. Staff was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed my meal and I recommend you try this place.

Food was good, but issues everywhere else. Lady seating was short and unwelcoming, service was incredibly slow, and the confusion displayed by staff as to what table ordered what was borderline comical. Service was slow and inattentive enough that tables had to ask for their drink order to be taken and the table next to me left without having their full order served. After food delivery there was no attempt to ensure what I ordered was correct or satisfactory, nor a refill of any drinks.

So my family stopped here on the way from Colorado to Salt Lake. Got decent reviews, so decided to give it a try. Started off well. Food came out quickly and we liked the Green River roll... Salmon in the Teriyaki Salmon however was horrible! Everything else was run of the mill so not sure why they received so many good reviews. Tried the Jalapeno poppers, they were ok. Tried the Teriyaki Chicken and it was bland, but decent. Tried the fried shrimp rolls and they were soggy with oil, but were ok flavor wise, but not great. Then it was time for our check. We were done eating at 5:50. We didn't get our check until 6:35... 45 minutes. 15 minutes before we got it I stopped a different waiter to ask for it... Still took 15 more minutes. They didn't offer anything for the long wait even though there were families that were in the lounge waiting for a table were sat down, ate and left at the same time as us. Very frustrating and now we won't get to SLC until 9:30. Oh well. We will never stop here again.

Partly my fault I guess for ordering Vietnamese spring rolls & Pho at a Chinese restaurant so I gave one star for that. I gave another star because the fortune cookie tasted like a fortune cookie.

I wasn't expecting much, even after the good Yelp reviews, and was happily surprised with the quality of the food, the diversity of the menu, and the generosity of the portions. My friend and I could easily have shared an order and both been full.

Looks good, but unlike Yelp's claim, no gluten free choices. All dishes made with soy sauce containing gluten.

Most of this time this place is great- fantastic food, quick service, and reasonable prices. I have come here a few times where the service has been absolutely terrible, but usually it's good. They make great sushi, soup, and Chinese food. The lunch specials are a must. Also, don't skip the Jalapeño Poppers!

I've been there twice, the first time the service was bad but the food OK. The second time the service was still bad and the sashimi tasted old, I had to spit it out. Not happy about that.

I travel to Rock Springs 5 or 6 times per year and on my most recent trip there I decided to gives this place a try. I usually stick with the two Chinese restaurants located near the Holiday Inn where I stay when I'm in town. Their food is 'decent', nothing wrong with those places, but nothing spectacular either... I have spent most of my life in California and have noticed that the taste of the Chinese food in Idaho or Wyoming kind of all tastes the same. Not sure if I just got spoiled by the California Chinese food or what... Needless to say, I eat it every month or two, but can't wait when I get to go back West and get the 'flavor' that I grew up with. I ordered some Lo Mein, Fried Rice, Potstickers and Sesame Chicken and I think I may have found my new favorite Chinese food hang-out!!!! Prices were reasonable, delivery to my hotel was quick and friendly and have I mentioned the food is pretty dang good!!! I learned growing up that a way to a man's heart is through his stomach. The older I get, the more I understand what this saying means. Each day when I travel I spend some serious time on-line plotting what deliciousness I'm going to have that night when I 'land' at my hotel. Typically, Rock Springs makes me sad because I know I'm just going to have mediocre food when I land there. Now, thanks to Chopstix I look forward to visiting this town again real soon!

It's an oasis in in an endless desert. Fantastic flavors and variety. The appetizer sampler is presented in such an interesting way. Everything is fresh. I've been there 5 times. And I go there everytime I pass by.

Variety 5 Taste 4 Plating 5 Drinks 4 I am not a huge seafood fan and I liked it! The Viatnemese spring rolls were worth the award that they display on the menu. They were accompanied with a special sauce, as well as the token spicy mustard and sweet & sour sauce. Everything was very well plated and there were plenty of options. They added a nice twist to the token bloody Mary, added siracha. It was different.

Oh my gosh, so good. The place is immaculate. Awards displayed all over the front lobby. Fast, courteous service. The egg roll was the best I've had in a while. Szechuan Beef was delicious; tender and sauce and veggies were wonderful. Pay the extra and upgrade to the noodles (instead of rice). Delicious. I also liked that you had your choice of Egg Drop, Hot & Sour OR Wonton Soup with the lunch combos. Many places just offer the first two. Note: the Wonton.Soup was very good. If you get the Sesame Chicken, plan to share. It was a huge portion.

This restaurant has the best sushi and Asian Cuisine I've ever had. I've eaten a lot of sushi in a lot of places and this restaurant in Rock Springs and Green River, Wyoming is the best anywhere. The service is spectacular and the cooks are skilled and processional.

By far the best Chinese food I've ever had. When my fiance worked in rock springs 2 years ago we were there once a week. Yesterday we drove 300 miles just to eat there. Wonderful wait staff. Outstanding food and amazing sushi!!!!!!

Asian food in Wyoming , really ? I admit I was skeptical but other yelpsters said it was good and I was hankering for veggies. The decor is Asian kitch, somewhat dark with the classic tank of huge carp. While our was servers were efficient they weren't particularly friendly. We ordered the broccoli with beef, the mushu chicken and phad Thai . My favorite was the broccoli with beef, lots of crunchy broccoli and thin tender pieces of beef. The mushu was good too although the pancakes were not homemade, the phad Thai was spicy and full of meat but our crew pronounced it too salty and not as good as some we have had. The portions were large , we had enough for lunch the next day.

Ok, so we were on a road trip from Sacramento, California to Cheyenne, Wyoming and tired of all the heavy truck stop type diners and food, and dealing with all the lot lizards. We pull up yelp in Rock Springs and decide to try chopstix. As we were walking up I said to my wife "looks like the typical greasy Chinese joint" man was I wrong! My wife ordered the sesame (orange) chicken. Immediately it was obvious it was hand cut and hand breaded all breast meat. The breading was very light, crispy and delicious! The sauce was amazing! 100% made from scratch sesame (orange) chicken! We both ordered hot and sour soup, which was obviously again made from scratch. It was fantastic! I ordered a spicy tuna roll (being a California native and having access to the freshest seafood I was skeptical as to what I would find in Wyoming but I took a chance) IT WAS FANTASTIC! Just as good as any roll I've had on the pacific coast! I topped it off with an order of sake (warmed of course) which was also amazing! To top it off this entire lunch meal was under $25 bones! What a great find!

I like Chinese cuisine. Waitress was new, but she did a good job and was very pleasant. Only problem, was the appetizer came in the middle of the meal, but it was surprisingly good sushi in Wyoming, so far from the sea. Mongolian beef was great and the hot an sour soup was one the best I have had (it's my favorite). The portions were very generous and prices were reasonable the next time I am I Rock Springs I will go back!

Second time here. Sushi combo C is very good as is the create your own noodles. Got Garlic Chicken stir fry and Vietnamese Spring Rolls for dinner tonight. Hopefully it's as good as the sushi and noodles I had before

I love this place! Every week, I stop by for lunch while I'm on break from work. The staff is always polite and friendly. Some of them even joke with me in their own unique ways. The food has never disappointed me. I always get the sesame chicken lunch special. The sesame chicken is always cooked well, and the sauce leaves me with a happy feeling. The fried rice isn't the best, but it's certainly well above average. The egg drop soup is hot and soothing. And, the egg roll and crab Rangoon are both awesome. This place certainly meets my Chinese food needs every week.

My first real stop for my Wyoming weekend was here to Rock Springs, where it was a 4 hour drive from Salt Lake City, UT - with 3 stops along the way. It's a quaint little pass through town and the stop I made was here to Chopstix Asian Bistro. According to Yelp, this is the only restaurant that serves Vietnamese Pho (or a variation of it) between Salt Lake City, UT and Rock Springs, WY. More Chinese restaurants out here than anything. While I am sure that Cheyenne has some of them, I wasn't going there anyway. So, coming to Rock Springs for my WY pho was a no brainier. Located off the I-80E, take Exit 102 for Dewar Drive and drive till you see the sign for the restaurant at the intersection. It's included with the adjacent shopping center plaza, where it can be your one stop shop to everything you need. I was here on a nice Friday after driving 4 hours from SLC airport and having really no sleep. Amazing how I can last that long driving. But anyway, Chopstix Asian Bistro is primarily a Chinese restaurant that serves up a laundry list of Asian inspired dishes, hence the name of the restaurant. The decor was nice and subtle. A bit dim lighted, but that's what's good about it. There wasn't many people, so I requested a semi large booth for myself to spread out and be comfortable. I chose this place especially due to the Pho, as I am trying to do Pho in all 50 states, as well as the marathons. Eat and run, cool, huh? The service was at best average and totally good. I had a good and overall nice experience here. While I can't say that I will be back, it would be nice to do so, if I was in the area again. With that said, I ordered the shrimp and barbecue pork, which in Chinese, is called "char siu". They gave a moderate amount of bean sprouts and basically a non existent amount worth of basil. I guess that's the way they do things around here. The presentation of the Pho was interesting. Looks like a Chinese noodle bowl with the pork floating in there, but the broth was distinctly Pho. They had one size only, which was priced at $9.00. Felt like a medium bowl at best. Also ordered an order of shrimp spring rolls for $6.00. These spring rolls were huge! I had to box one of them, just because I couldn't finish everything. Crazy man! The taste of the broth was good and average. Mixing in the jalapeños in there was a much needed kick to the senses from the long drive I had done earlier in the morning. The waitresses were nice and asked if I was Chinese. I assume that you don't find many Asians in nowhere Wyoming. Guess that's a rarity in itself out here in Rock Springs. The restaurant is clean and pretty immaculate, almost like a PF Changs, certainly not high end, but it did the job. Only problem that's rough was the fact that it wasn't pure Vietnamese pho from a real Vietnamese restaurant. Can't complain when you're in southwestern Wyoming. Lol. Overall, recommended for anything Asian here. Worth the trip to Rock Springs. Support local! B

This was just okay Asian cuisine. We had it delivered to our hotel and it took 55 minutes to arrive and when it finally came everything was either barely warm or cold. My husband ordered sesame chicken and I ordered orange chicken. Other than the sesame seeds and orange peels we couldn't tell much difference between the two. They tasted nearly identical. My husband requested fried rice and did not receive it so we shared my steamed white rice. The dumplings were cold, dry and had too much meat in them. This was a better dinner than getting typical fast food while on the road but overall we were disappointed.

Have the people who gave this place four and five stars ever had quality Asian cuisine before???? Dirty and ew! How many large coy fish can they stuff into one tank? There was enough salt in the food to last a lifetime! Sushi was soggy and tasted off. I may just end up on the next episode of Monsters Inside Me.

Based on other reviews --I thought this was a good idea....not so much! My order was taken by a very surly young man. When he brought my dish, it was swimming in sauce. I requested chop sticks which we tossed/thrown on the table. I received my check before my second drink. A different person acted very put out that I wanted something more. My suggestion is that if you are used to poor service and bad service --this is perfect restaurant for you.

Unbelievable Chinese, Thai, and other asian cuisine in the middle of Wyoming! Very good Chinese with excellent service. We tried three main course meals and an appetizer and I would compare this food with what I've had back east and in California. Go and see for yourself!

We were visiting Rock Springs and based on the many good reviews online, we decided to give this place a try. It was a severe disappointment. The service was horrible. I ordered Pad Thai, because I'm on a gluten free diet and it said it was made with rice noodles. When they put it in front of me, it was obviously made with egg noodles, which contain gluten. I asked about it, and the waitress insisted it was rice noodles, but they were not. Besides that major mistake, the food was greasy. The pad thai sauce tasted like BBQ sauce mixed with Sweet/Sour sauce. There were 3 in our party, and our dinners came out separately, so one had food while the other 2 waited. It was just a bad experience, all around. We had a ton of leftovers, but ended up throwing it all away; we just couldn't stomach anymore of this food.

Been here twice now, once for takeout and once for dining in. I was really happy to find this place as there is quite a range of interesting dishes spanning the Asian spectrum from Korean to Thai to Japanese to Chinese to Vietnamese. Hardest part is choosing what to order. I suppose I could complain that they don't have a huge selection of draft beer, but finding a place like this in a smaller town is awesome.

I want write twice for my review because I am so happy with the food here. I am a Asian chef too, but tonight I drive all the way from SLC pass by Rock spring. I find this place by search yelp. It was surprised me. The food was so good. Before I came in I thought it is just American Chinese food but the chef keep them in very high quality and perfect tasting

Hard to believe this small town in the middle of nowhere possesses a excellent asian/chinese cafe with an extensive menu and everything is exectued great that we tried, and I live in downtown Chicago and my wife is from Beijing, and we lived in Shanghia 7 months. The shrimp was as fresh as any in Chicago, the chicken was super tender and the veggies were tasty. The staff is super nice, Cantonese I might add...they cook with a lot of zest... So, the portions were huge, the prices were low, and they had Asian import beer...so a big shout out to Chopstix...

This place is a gem. Who would have thought that there would be a pan-Asian restaurant with a huge, wide-ranging menu in somewhere like Rock Springs? All the ingredients are fresh and tasty, and the sushi and Chinese dishes are very well prepared. (Have not yet had the opportunity to try the Thai dishes or the Vietnamese pho.) The recipes are adjusted for Western palates, but are far better than other American-Asian restaurants, especially outside the major metro areas.

We got the sizzling rice soup (chicken), Kung Pao chicken, and Mongolian beef. The service was great, and all the food was piping hot and tasty. A first rate dining experience anywhere, but all the more impressive in Rock Springs which is a little off the beaten path. ;^)

Great place to eat. Sizzlin" shrimp is amazing. The owner is great and works very hard to make you happy. Last time I was there I had to wait like 3 minutes on a takeout order. He gave me a big ole box of free cheese wontans!!! Great place!

Overall the food was okay, but not at all worth the fuss. If you were thinking about calling in for delivery, think again. About 30 minutes after we called in our order we got a phone call from the delivery man. He couldn't find our home and asked if we could pick up our food (I wouldn't have called for delivery if I wanted to pick it up myself.) First of all, we live less than a mile away and in an easy to find area. I tried to give him directions, but he couldn't understand me. I also tried to call the restaurant to see if I could give any of the employees directions, but no one spoke enough English. After another hour of waiting, frustrating conversations and $40.00 later we received PART of our order. This will be our first and last experience with Chopstix.

Very good asian food combined with outstanding service. This is worth multiple visits!! The spicy dishes are especially good....and if you want them extra hot....they will get it just right.

I love this place. I have never had a bad experience here. I enjoy the Mongolian beef, it's so delicious! The sushi is fantastic. We came here with a party of 15 including 8 kids and they sat us promptly and didn't mess up our order. Definitely going back as much as possible.

being new to the area, my family and i decided to try out this place last night. I don't think they have been open too long (there is a grand opening sign hanging outside, but it's worn down from the wind). once we walked through the door, i knew this place would be authentic. it just has that 'feel'. i ordered the crispy honey shrimp, and i must say, it was the best i have ever tasted...and i've had my fair share of it in so cal, where there is PLENTY of chinese restaurants. my husband ordered the mongolian beef, which was spectacular as well! overall, service, ambiance and food were great. the only thing i'd change was the fact that my green tea was served in a styrofoam cup, but at least i could take it to go! ha! can't wait to try another dish!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
